What’s the world coming to?
First, we got spiders raining down from the sky in Australia. In today’s edition of weird things falling from the sky, we have the “vampire fish” dropping out of the sky in Alaska.
According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, the department has been getting calls from Fairbanks residents about strange eel-like fish falling from the sky.
“The local Value Village store found a live lamprey in their parking lot and placed it in a bucket of water,” the ADF&G wrote on their Facebook page. “Another resident called and said he found one on his lawn! Four lamprey were found on land so far. How is this happening?”
While they’re not really sure of the answer, officials believe that this is the nefarious work of gulls. Gulls pick these scary-looking sea monsters out of the river and drop them mid-flight.
