Alien entities have appeared on earth from out of Unidentified Flying Objects or as they are commonly referred to, UFOs. Where these objects originate from is open to interpretation, but what they do in our environment is something that we need to be concerned about. These extraterrestrial have terrified local residents, by recklessly abducting humans and mutilating animals.
Throughout the years, we have wondered what the extraterrestrial visitors are up to, with the western world developing a deep interest in these strange ‘out-of-this-world’ occurrences. Investigations and researches into the phenomenon have been continuing ever since the modern UFO era began in 1947.

However, in southeast Asia, the situation is somewhat different. Even though the UFO phenomena chooses to manifest itself in this conservative society, everyone here seems less concerned in taking the UFO mystery seriously, let alone discussing it or attempting to do something about it.
This attitude, coupled with the local superstitions and beliefs, means that most UFO sightings and encounters with alien beings are not usually reported to the authorities. The press also pay little attention to the subject, as the general public has a tendency to regard the UFO phenomena as either nonsense or something of a demonic nature, and certainly not something that has grounds in reality.

Palace Of Lights
One of the earliest extraterrestrial manifestations occurred in Thailand during August 1810. A missionary and physician, Dr. Jacob Hazlitt, reported that he saw a man dressed in silver clothing on a road outside Meklong. He described the skin of the humanoid as ‘gleaming’, and that the entity had only one eye.
A similar one-eyed alien was sighted again in September of the same year by a local Siamese lady. She claimed that she was awoken by an unknown force one night and was surprised to hear that the surrounding area was devoid of the usual animal noises. Something was not right. Looking out of the window, the lady beheld a strange alien humanoid in her back yard. She claimed that the alien only had one eye and was dressed in a suit which seemed to be made out of metal. The episode ended with the lady claiming to have been abducted to a ‘palace of lights’. This is the only known extraterrestrial abduction in Southeast Asia to date.
There are other sinister abduction cases in Malaysia and Indonesia which are not related to the UFO Phenomenon, as the entities involved do not come out of UFOs. They seem to have stepped out of a co-existing world, if indeed there is one.

The abductees themselves claim that they were taken to a different world on the other side of our reality for a few days. They were not subjected to the usual UFO ‘medical examinations’, but were apparently just taken for an excursion. No UFO-like messages were given and the motive behind the abduction was never known.
When returned home, the abductees suffered the same side-effects as a typical UFO abductee, including temporary amnesia, extreme thirst, tiredness and generally feeling emotionally upset. The locals called these spiritual-like beings the Bunian People, but where the word ‘Bunian’ comes from is unclear. The beings were said to dress in a similar way to the local people.

Caucasian Alien
In the Philippines, the alien humanoids were reported to be about six feet tall. A witness sighted a white object with red lights in Baros on 1st November 1968. The witness could see through the UFO’s transparent canopy that two extraterrestrial beings were piloting the craft.
A farmer reported seeing a saucer-shaped object, which landed on the ground that same night, but in a different location in the province. The farmer saw two aliens, who he described as being six feet tall and Caucasian, and were also dressed in white suits.
There were very few accounts of encounters with UFO entities in the rest of the Southeast Asia and the Philippines until 1979. In this incident, a sighting of a six feet tall humanoid was made during a UFO wave in the Central and Southern Philippines on 25th April. A farmer saw a very bright light near his home at 4am, and went outside to investigate. He was surprised to see a saucer-shaped object hovering about 20 yards above the ground, apparently looking for a place to land.
The farmer, Mamerto Demetillo, followed the object and saw two similar UFOs, about 300 yards away, which had already landed. From each object, two humanoids came out and formed a circle. The six beings were pointing in all directions and nodding their heads which the witness assumed was some form of alien communication.
The UFO was two feet in diameter and seemed to be made of aluminum. Each craft was resting on four legs which were about two feet long, and a short ladder extended from the door to the ground. The beings were wearing what looked like grey rubberised suits with brown belts, black gloves and boots. The aliens were on the ground for about 15-20 minutes before they got back in their crafts, piloted their crafts up into the atmosphere and disappeared out of sight.
